Welcome! We are a website of tutorials for WordPress newbies or beginners. We teach concepts, not just steps. Our lessons explain in non-technical language what something does and why and how it does it before we walk you through implementing that on your website.

You’ve never used WordPress, and probably haven’t used any other CMS, either. You’re a true newbie. Don’t worry, there’s no coding in these lessons.
You’re comfortable in the WordPress dashboard, and you have moved beyond basic settings to fine-tuning and optimizing your website. Lessons here involve using plugins and may include some light use of code or CSS.
You’re still not a code monkey, but the topics are more advanced. Custo code, SSH, server settings, edits to wp-config.php. Always back up your site before trying any lessons with the red icon.

How to find which plugin broke your site, in about 10 min:
1. Rename /wp-content/plugins to plugins-off via FTP
2. If site loads, yes it's a plugin problem. Folder name, back to original.
3. Reactivate plugins one at a time, reloading after each.

We don’t boost a product to get a commission because we want users to trust our recommendations. We believe any revenues lost will be more than made up by user loyalty.
